Hi, I’m Courtney, a clinical social worker passionate about helping individuals navigate the complex intersections of physical health and emotional well-being. My clinical interests lie in supporting those living with chronic illness and pain, women's health concerns, medical trauma, anxiety, and depression.
My professional journey has included working with patients at New York Oncology and Hematology and providing care through Planned Parenthood. These experiences deeply shaped my understanding of the unique challenges that arise when facing serious medical issues and health-related life transitions. I am committed to meeting each client exactly where they are, offering compassionate, evidence-based support to help them live their healthiest and most fulfilling lives.
In my practice, I draw from several therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also believe that healing work doesn’t have to be heavy all the time — I intentionally weave humor into our sessions, creating a safe and approachable space where growth and change can feel a little lighter.
It is an honor to walk alongside my clients on their journeys toward resilience, hope, and empowerment.
Advocacy Interests
My advocacy is grounded in a deep commitment to justice in gynecological care, especially for those who have been overlooked, dismissed, or harmed within the medical system. I’m particularly passionate about supporting women with chronic pelvic pain, those facing misdiagnosis or medical gaslighting around pelvic diseases, and individuals who’ve had traumatic experiences during in-office procedures that are often minimized. I also care deeply about addressing racial and socioeconomic disparities in perinatal health outcomes, which continue to cause preventable harm in marginalized communities.
In my clinical work, I aim to be a validating, trauma-informed presence—offering care that listens, believes, and affirms. I see each individual encounter as an opportunity to reduce harm on a micro level, while holding a long-term vision of influencing systemic, macro-level change in gynecological practice. I believe in a future where care is rooted in compassion, consent, and equity—and I’m committed to helping build it.
