Chris is a Licensed Clinical Social worker who has over 25 years’ experience working in the mental health field with adults.
He worked for Albany County Mental Health for 14 years, working in an outpatient setting as well as the Mental Health Unit at the Albany County Correctional Facility. More recently, Chris has worked in private practice with adults.
Chris’ approach to therapy is Cognitive Behaviorally based, Client Centered and is focused on building client empowerment and strength. He has extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of substance abuse with individuals and families. He also has experience working with addictions in an inpatient setting. Chris is a longstanding member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and is a member of the National Honor Society in Psychology. He specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and sexual identity issues.
Chris is an avid dog lover and is an advocate for adopting rescue dogs. In his free time, he enjoys hikes with his rescue dog Fenner. When not working, Chris also enjoys exploring new places to visit in the Great Northeast.
