Hi, I’m Cameron and I am Synergy Counseling Group’s intake coordinator! I triage all new referrals and guide clients through the intake process. I work to match new referrals to the Clinician who would be the best fit. During the triage process, we take into account Clinicians’ special interests & areas of expertise, experience with and passion for different client populations, and the practice models they implement in their work. It is important to me to use social work skills within the triage process – active listening, information giving, empathy, and collaboration are all essential when welcoming new referrals to our practice.

I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University at Albany with my Bachelor’s in Social Welfare, and I will begin working on my Master’s Degree in the Summer of 2026 at UAlbany’s Graduate School. I am passionate about advocating for marginalized groups, specifically older adults, disabled people, and LGBTQ+ people. I hope to work amongst these populations throughout my social work career and eventually enact positive legislative changes that undo systemic discrimination against them.
